Our Core Beliefs (take the time to read this)

1. The Church…
We believe that the church was instituted, and is directed by Jesus Christ.  We also believe that the church is the “body” of Christ, and not simply a building or program.  Simply put, the church is necessary for proper growth and gives us the ability to serve one another.  Therefore, people need to attend a local church, and not just "attend" church on television or radio.  Jesus died for real relationships, not electronic ones.

2. The Bible…
Regardless of what new writings people find on the internet, or in the ground, we believe in the inspiration, infallibility, and inerrancy of the Holy Bible in its original writings as the revealed Word of God, and we view it as the ultimate authority for all of life’s issues.

3. The Trinity…
We believe in the triune nature of God – that God is One God, eternally existent in three distinct personalities: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.

4. Creation…
We believe that everything we see and don't see was created by God as found in the Biblical book of Genesis.

5. Jesus Christ…
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that He was God in human form, both fully God and fully man. We understand it's difficult to understand, but given the title of God, He can do things we can't understand.  We also believe that Jesus was tempted like we are, yet did not yield to temptation, thus He lived a sinless perfect life.  We believe that Jesus voluntarily suffered and died a real physical death for our sins, that He didn't stay dead, but resurrected bodily on the third day, that He ascended into heaven where He lives today making intercession for Christian believers.  We also believe that He will personally return to earth again physically in power and glory.  We also believe that Jesus was compassion walking, and yet did not condone sin.

6. Salvation…
We believe that salvation is the FREE gift of God offered to ALL people, and that it is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.  We also believe that the lost and sinful man must be saved, and that our only hope is through the shed blood of Christ on the cross.
We do not believe we are being exclusive or narrow minded
in the sense that only a few can go to heaven.  The gift of salvation is open for anyone who will choose to believe!  The choice is yours, either accept Jesus Christ, or reject Him.

7. The Holy Spirit…
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the world today, and that the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life through the Spirit.  We also believe that each Christian is given at least one spiritual gift and should be exercised in accordance with the Bible.

8. Eternity…
We believe in the eternal judgment of both the righteous and unrighteous. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved.  Those who accepted Jesus Christ and are saved are resurrected to eternal life with God in heaven, and those who chose to reject Jesus and are unsaved are resurrected to eternal death and punishment in hell.  Don't say we didn't warn you.

9. The Second Coming…
We know there are many different beliefs on the exact details of the second coming, so we believe that the church should constantly be ready for Christ’s return.

10. Unity…
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.  We also believe that unity does not necessarily mean absence of conflict.  We understand that we are sinful humans who have not been glorified yet, and until that day comes, we will have issues with one another.  We have come to understand that unity means being able to move through conflict, while keeping peace with each other as much as possible; even if this means parting ways for a time.

11. Sin...
Sin by definition is missing the mark, or what we like to say: screwing up!
We believe that what the Bible calls sin, is in fact...sin, regardless of what the current cultural beliefs are.

12. Tolerance or Condonement...
In our nation, the word tolerate has been totally mishandled, and has now come to mean condonement.  We believe that we are to show love to the world as Christ did, regardless of what they do or believe, however we do not have to condone or accept the beliefs or actions of others.  We also believe that we are, in fact, showing love by standing on the truth of the Holy Bible.
