Welcome to Our Website!

The Launching Zone is a church planting network in northeast Mississippi.  Our vision is to help launch 20-30 new churches over the next decade.  The Launching Zone will be a gathering place for church planters and their teams to find resources, support, training, encouragement and prayer to assist you in planting a healthy, New Testament church.  We plan to have monthly gatherings where church planters can learn about effective stratagies and tools that can help their church get off to a great start. 

We are looking for people who have passion for kingdom work.  We need people who not only think outside the box but realize that the box no longer exists if we are going to reach the next generation for Christ.  No matter what style of church you feel God is leading you to plant, the Launching Zone can be a great place for you to connect with like minded church planters who have a hunger to see people come to Christ through a new wave of outward focused churches.  If this sounds like the vision you have for your church, contact Jeff Lee to join the network jlee@thelaunchingzone.com

2020 Vision

Dr. Richard Harris, vice president of the North American Mission Board's church planting department has cast a vision of doubling the number of Southern Baptist churches in North America by 2020.  A large part of this vision will be accomplished by planting new churches.  For the last few years, Southern Baptist have planted between 1500-1700 churches each year.  On average we are planting about 5 new churches each day but to truly impact North America we would need to plant between 15-18 new churches each day.  The Launching Zone is part of the movement to help foster an atmosphere where new churches gain support and resources as they prepare to launch.  Check out Dr. Harris' podcasts on planting new churches.
